Daily Update 5-1-18

The big news is the Tommy John surgery announcement for Corey Seager that will cause him to miss the rest of the season. This is a huge loss for a top 30-40 bat who has produced a top 5 WAR over the last two years.

The quick fix will be Chris Taylor slotting in at shortstop but the real opportunity lies with Alex Verdugo possibly getting a shot to start in center now. Verdugo is a top prospect that does not offer a Bellinger 2017 upside but .275-75-16-70 is possible.
